THE GUIDELINES

• APPLY COMMON SENSE: you know the usual rules that apply on a site? yeah, we go by those too. just use your noggin! don't steal things that don't belong you, don't spam things that aren't relevant, and when it comes to the actual business of posting, don't make mary sues and don't do any of that power playing or godmodding stuff. basic things, y'know.

• BE A LOVELY HUMAN BEING: which, of course, we're sure you already are. this isn't a hard rule. all we ask is that we play nice and respect each other. leave our drama with the characters and definitely do not EVER bring bickering or bitching onto public areas of the site, like the cbox. be inclusive! avoid cliques and try to get everyone involved, whether they're a fmd veteran or a newbie! and of course, if you have any problems, feel absolutely free to come to anyone on the staff team. we're all pretty nice, i swear.

• RATED PG-13: in accordance with proboards tos, all content has to be appropriately toned down. mature themes are a-okay, as long as they're alluded to rather than explicitly described. if you want to roleplay more graphic content, feel free to do so somewhere off the board. but right here, we're pg-13.

• WORD COUNT IS 350: we ask that you try and write at least 350 words per post. we accept all levels of roleplayers so we understand that some people write novels per posts and other people struggle to hit word counts. we understand that muse fluctuates and that sometimes it's hard to SQUEEZE out the minimum. we're not going to penalize you if you don't hit the minimum every time (in fact, we have a board solely for mini threads, where you can throw word count constraints to the wind and just write however much you want to!) but do try for the 350! pushing yourself is the key to becoming a better, more detailed writer.

• GRAPHICS: so graphics are awesome and fun right? well they are, but please don't overdo it. we ask that you refrain from using blinding colors in your signatures or anything that might be a little too obnoxious. clearly your images have to follow the rating on the site. keep it PG 13 okay? other than that, the sky is the limit and go nuts. just make sure that your avatars are 220X200 AND PREFERABLY, HAVE THEM BE A GIF. the image before the hover on your mini profile should be 250x400, and MAKE SURE your signatures don't stretch the board. if they do an admin will remove them. also, if you aren't all that graphics savvy, there's a board in the member's lounge where you can request whatever you might need!

• BE ACTIVE: if you take the time to sign up here, please take the time to remain active. we know life happens and there are days where you just have no muse or motivation, and that's okay! as long as you post as frequently as possible, that's all we can really ask of you. however, we would like to ask that every time you drop by, you make the effort of signing in with every single one of your accounts. it's not hard, it doesn't take long, and it makes us look nice and active! what happens if you don't sign in? well, if an account hasn't been logged into in a week (and there's been no absence thread or contacting a staff member to explain), we'll send you a warning message. if there's still no activity a week from the warning message, you'll be deleted.

• THERE ARE NO LIMITS: here at JUST A LITTLE RUSH, we don't like having too many restrictions, so we're not going to put a cap on your character whoring. we think you all know what you can and can't handle. the only requirement for making another character is that all your existing characters are in an active thread. we strongly encourage you to put your babies out there and be in more than one active thread, but one is the minimum. we will check to make sure we think all your characters are suitably active (because what's the point in having them if they just sit there?) but otherwise, we're happy to leave you to it.
