basics, NAME: Roxanna Elaine BrooksAGE: 23 BIRTHDAY: December 11th 1991 SEXUALITY: Heterosexual RELATIONSHIP STATUS: Single | Drunkenly Married OCCUPATION: Third Grade Teacher GRADE (if applicable): n/a FACE CLAIM: Teresa Palmer physical, HAIR COLOUR: BlondeEYE COLOUR: Blue TATTOOS/PIERCINGS: no tats | ears SCARS: none of importance HEIGHT: 5'4.5" WEIGHT: 128 internal, LIKES (10 <): little kids, dogs, drinking (is lightweight), late nights, reading, teaching, outdoors, sarcasm, getting away from the city, routine, fireplaces, food, chocolate, coffee, junk food, romantic gestures, singing, playing the guitar and joking aroundDISLIKES (10 <): her parents, new people, cats, surprises, people digging into her history, overly friendly people, hearing about child abuse, working out, flaunting her money around, being tied up (metaphorically) , and how her siblings act, rushing into relationships, flirting guys, cheesy pick-up lines FEARS (3 <): losing those close to her, having money or greed control her life, losing her job, never settling down, turning out like her parents ASPIRATIONS (3 <): going back to school to get her masters and maybe doctorate, become a principal for a school, have a family (possibly) PERSONALITY (overview in any form): witty : Roxy is very clever and humorous, she loves to joke around and there is never a wrong moment to start laughing... well maybe there is, but honestly she'll make a horrible joke and just go with it. In letters, emails, texts, im, and especially in person. She's hard to keep up with sometimes, but it's well worth it. playful : Roxy absolutely loves to mess around, even if it's just acting silly or telling jokes. She's a whiz when it comes to the jokes on the back of the laffy taffy wrappers and has he 3rd graders rolling. She won't admit to being a tease, but it's been known to happen if she's attracted to the man and wants to have a little fun first. She can have fun anywhere, she makes her classes fun and she has a little personal fun on the weekends or maybe on a weekday depending on how stressful her day has been. patient : Some might look a Roxy outside of the work place and think 'why the hell is this lady a teacher?' cause she might be a little crazy. But, Roxy has unbelievable patience. She's human, so there are days and times that she will rip anyone's head off. Other than those few days, she deals with pain, difficulty, provocation, and annoyances with calmness. She is tolerant, understanding, and an unfailingly patient leader and guide, which makes her a great teacher. She is capable of calmly awaiting an outcome or result; not hasty or impulsive. But, again, there are faults in this, she has her moments where she had absolutely no patience at all. grounded : Roxy grew up in an extremely wealthy family, though she does her best to hide the fact that she's a trust fund baby.. the amount of money actually scares her but she never uses it so it just keep accumulating. Anyways, she never lets this get to her head. She grew up on top, privileged and spoiled, but you would never know she has money unless you pay very close attention to some of the more expensive things in her life, or the fact that she has no debt even though she's fresh from college. don't try and get her to talk about her parents though, she refuses to talk about how "wonderful" her life was and she hates when people find out that she actually rich. maybe a little too grounded, she doesn't really let herself have fun romantically; except for the high school boyfriend and the college boyfriend, that's all she's had. loud : This is a little self explanatory, but we'll go over it anyways. Roxy is loud. There is no better way to explain it, she sometimes doesn't have volume control (or a filter). She has a loud laugh that travels and is contagious. Her personality is loud even, it's hard not to notice her. she has this spirit about her that just rubs off on people, it's sort of hard not to love her. this could be a flaw as well, she's horrible in awkward situations, you know the kind that you shouldn't laugh but you do anyways? she'll have giggling fits. the lines, MOTHER'S NAME, AGE & OCCUPATION: Beatrice Brooks, 49, Fashion DesignerFATHER'S NAME, AGE & OCCUPATION: Stanton Brooks, 52, Lawyer (for the mob) SIBLING NAME(S), AGE(S), OCCUPATION(S): Marcy Brooks, 15, High school Freshman, Hannah Brooks 18, College Freshman, & William Brooks, 25, Lawyer PET(S) - SPECIES, BREED: petey canine - boston terrier cooper canine - belgian tervuren brice canine - belgian tervuren CHILD(REN) NAME(S), AGE(S): one in the oven the past, BIRTHPLACE: New York City, New YorkFIRST FRIEND (small paragraph): It's silly to say, but her first friend was actually her brother William. He is only two years older than her so they did everything together. If you don't count family, Roxy was best friends with a red headed little girl, Grace, they went through everything together; first day of school, how they hated the uniforms, each birthday, slumber parties, first kisses, heartbreaks, and so on. Roxy went to NYU and grace went to Berkeley College in Midtown. They would hang out on the weekends and still went shopping all the time. they're still friends and hang out a lot. FIRST LOVE (small paragraph): Oh boy. She's had crushes, but the first boyfriend she really "loved" was Oliver St. Johns. She was in 11th grade and he was in 12th grade. She fell head over heals for him. He was on the soccer team (captain), he was a sweetheart though, perfect in her eyes. He asked her to the winter formal and that's all she wrote. They were together until then end of her Senior year. They just decided that it wasn't working anymore, he was at Princeton and they didn't get to see each other that much. She was heart broken, but she got over it knowing it was for the best. FIRST MEMORY: It was the first day of preschool and a little boy stole her favorite blue crayon, she got upset and the little girl next to her, Rosemary, gave her a sad smile and handed her the blue crayon she was coloring with. BEST MEMORY: High school was over, college graduation was behind her. She had, had a job interview and here she was, at her favorite coffee shop, celebrating the small victory. At the end of the summer she was going to be a third grade teacher at one of the finest prep schools in the city. WORST MEMORY: "I don't understand why you're insisting to be a teacher" roxy's mother shuddered at the word. Roxy simply rolled her eyes. "mother.. not all of us are cut out for the world of law.. i don't want to do that.. so, i'm teaching.. get over it.. it's my life and i'll decide what i'm going to do with it." it was those three words that started the biggest fight of her life. in the end, she was cut off, she wasn't allowed in their house, not to speak to her younger sisters. she was dead to them. HISTORY (overview): Roxy's story starts on a rainy, windy, horrible night. This might have been a foreshadowing of how she would be, she liked to do it her way from the beginning. Roxy was the second child and first daughter of the Brooks family. the family was delighted and frazzled at the arrival of the baby girl. having an older brother, only two years older than her, they did everything together when she got old enough. He was very protective of her. Their parents were rather important people, her father was a lawyer (and not the good kind) she came to find out later on that he was actually a defense lawyer for mafia. her mother a fashion designer who loved to rub elbows with all the fabulous people of NYC. as expected of the (privileged) Roxy and Will were made to do everything; little league, soccer, and piano lessons (for Will) and ballet, beauty shows, and piano and violin lessons for Roxy. She put up with it for years, mainly because she was so young she didn't know she had a choice. when she was five, her parents had hannah and they just kept on trucking. by the time she was eight their little family was complete with another little sister, Marcy, Roxy learned to appreciate her little sisters, and she adored Marcy, she always wanted to help with her, hold her, feed her, play with her. life wasn't as perfect as it seemed though, her mother was ditzy as hell, she didn't care about her children that much and left them to their own devices and with a nanny. she would rather be out drinking and partying with her designer friends or at fashion shows. her father, well roxy always looked up to him, he was so strong and she thought that he was a super hero because of his work, she thought he was doing important stuff, when he really wasn't. Every summer from the time she was eight until she was thirteen, her parents sent them away for the summer to their aunt and uncle's estate in the Hamptons. Roxy loved it, but every August she was sent back and it was life of constant improvement and nannies. high school was an experience for roxy that was for sure; they were sent to a private school in the city and she loved it, she got to meet new people and despite the uniform, she found that she loved it. she was constantly going out with friends, though there were limitations for how late and who she was with, but it was worth it. people were always careful around her (and her siblings) she found out later it was because her father worked for a known mafia family as their lawyer. But, they realized she wasn't like that, she was cool and she was easy going. If Roxy thought she had come into her own in high school, UCLA was an eye opener. no uniforms, no curfews, and a roommate who she actually loved. You guessed it, the first night on campus they hit a party and she found out she was a lightweight. but she sure had a lot of fun. she realized that boys liked her too, flirted with her, and needless to say, she had fun with that too. she didn't declare her major until she was a sophomore, and to the horror of her parents, she went into education. she was a giant disappointment, with Will heading towards law school. apparently they thought she wasn't living up to her potential, and they wanted her to come home and act like a lady instead "slumming it" as her mother called it. but, she liked little kids and thought it would be a pretty good idea. after that moment she sort of wrote them off, and she assumed they had written her off as well. at that point she also started to avoid talking to them, mentioning them, if people asked her about her family she would tell them about her aunt and uncle and her siblings instead. she lived in a small apartment close to campus with three other girls, it was horrible and wonderful at the same time. she took a trip to Vegas the spring break after she turned twenty-one, it was her first trip that didn't involve family and she let herself go. Wow did she love it, she was drunk the whole week, blew a lot of money, and she was pretty certain she almost got married to stranger, but thankfully her friends stopped her, or so they told her. They teased her about it later, she argued at least he was handsome and had nice eyes, but she wasn't even sure if he was, she really doesn't remember much from that particular night. That following may, she graduated with her bachelors degree in education, she focused on elementary but could teach from preschool to high school if she really wanted. she almost immediately got a job at a nice prep school as a third grade teacher. She still lived with her roommates after graduation, but slowly they all moved out and she couldn't afford the rent on her own. After a visit to the Hamptons for long deserved weekend with her aunt and uncle. They were determined to help her, her aunt helped her find a beautiful house in a prime location from the prep school (and the beach), it turned out that her parents had decided to put their grudge aside and footed the whole thing. She was shocked, grateful, but she hated that they did it. She begged for them to let her pay them back, but it wasn't happening. They refused and she knew it could come back to bite her in the ass. The house wasn't in her name and she was afraid of what could happen if they took back everything. she settled into the home and into the new chapter of her life, a then twenty-two year old was thrilled to be out on her own once again, with a somewhat secure job, and in the city she loved and all the possibilities around her. Though it was the summer, she still had to plan her whole year, set up meetings with the parents if they wanted to meet her, and sent out several news letters to introduce herself to her new students and the families. she's been there for an entire semester and is loving her job, the kids, and even the families. However, life has gotten a little complicated on her. A faceless blur of a stranger, turned into an ancient Vegas disaster. She found out she was married, that her friends had lied about what really happened that night. To make things even worse, she has found out she's pregnant with her "husband's" child. |
