[attr="class","ds1"] [attr="class","dsbg"] [attr="class","rightpanels"] wanna do bad things with you, I don't know what you've done to me But I know this much is true, I wanna do bad things with you, okay. When you came in the air went out, And all those shadows there filled up with doubt, I don't know who you think you are, But before the night is through, I wanna do bad things with you-------------------------------------------------------------------- his head ached and he knew exactly why with the amount of alcohol that he had consumed the night before but that was not the worst of it. around his arm was a brunette and for a moment, through his distorted vision, he was unsure if his dove flew back to him. a brief smile came to his lips under the hair fell from the girl’s eyes and he was able to see clearly that it was not his dove. it was some random woman who could probably be in magazines with her dark features and her slim body. giving a low growl, the male slipped his arm away from her, rolling over and looking to the clock. he needed to get up. his alarm was about to go off and he would rather not have the girl wake up with him. slipping out of the bed, no remorse if he actually did make too much noise to wake her up, he stepped over to the bathroom and slammed the door behind him. giving a tug to his boxers, he tossed them into the hamper before turning the water on and starting his shower. the room was still spinning a little but the hot water washing over him was helping to rinse away the alcohol aroma and the little sleep that he got. though he had gotten laid, so it helped to make him a little more relaxed than he would be if he had been cockblocked. giving a shake of his head, the male closed his eyes and gave a little shake to his head. he could not believe that he actually, even for a second, believed that his dove would return to him. stupid him. however, there was a satisfying muffled slamming of a door which meant that darius didn’t have to do the awkward, sometimes confrontational, kick out. stepping out of the shower, darius reached for the towel and wrapped it around his body before he stepped back into the private bedroom. he looked down at the bed where the girl wrote a note to him which made him chuckle. it was a rude thing to say but it was well deserved. moving over to his dresser, darius picked up his constantly vibrating phone and ignored a lot of his messages until he saw one from damien. he had to opt out of a drop tonight due to a confliction with the schedule at the club. his eyes went skyward but he replied back, sending a crude message but agreeing to substitute himself in for darmien. giving a low growl, the male stomped over to his closet and began to dress himself for his shift and the concert that he would be forced to see tonight.
the day kind of dragged on and darius felt himself growing anxious for the day to be over. he wanted to return to his bed and finish off this hangover in the comfort of his own bed, under his sheets with an aspirin bottle by his bed. but he had to attend a fucking concert. as the hours dragged on, he grew more unsettled and needed to get out of his office. he was not at the actual club but instead, at the office building where he ran both of his businesses from. his secretary’s nagging voice was like sandpaper in his ear and his headache was becoming too much to bear. the male reached for his keys and walked out of his office after a small briefing to his annoying secretary in which he instructed her not to talk at all. he had to get to this concert which he was dreading. he did not really have any interest in the arts. the show was not his interest, the after show was. he wanted his money and to build his cliental. but first he had to sit through this concert. grumbling as he made his way into the theater, the male looked to his ticket and smirked at the decent seat number that he had gotten from damien. he was in the balcony, with a personal server who he hoped had a nice ass that he could look at instead of the dancers that would be on the stage. walking through the curtain, he found himself next to another client that he did not really wish to talk to and so, darius didn’t. he was the head dog between the two of them, he could choose who and when he spoke to anyone. with a look to the personal server now at his side, the lights began to dim and the large curtain on the stage began to open. with a quick glance to the stage, darius felt starstruck, which was not something he had ever felt—well once, but he did not wish to relive that moment at all. the blonde, looking to be the head dancer was hypnotic and with a flick of his hand, ”shoo..”, he mumbled to the server and dismissed her from his side. his eyes were set upon the female dancer and he knew he had to have her in some way. looking over to his client, he gave him a light nudge, ”give me your program..”, ripping it out of the older man’s grip as he flicked through the pages before finding the dancer’s face, her name and a little paragraph about her dancing history which did not interest him at all. maybe this show would not be so bad after all as he tucked the program into his suit jacket pocket and leaned back, watching the blonde with an intense gaze. with every person comes a weakness,
Some try to never let it show, Others fall to defeat with Nothing but sad inside their souls. Now you've gotta stop running, You're only giving yourself hell So try to look for the good in something---------------------------------------------------------------------------======================= | "Hadley, the curtain is about to go up. Get ready." The petite blonde nodded her head and shook out her shoulders and arms, hopping up onto her toes and then falling off them again only to repeat the process. She had been bouncing around her dressing room all day, trying to shake the nerves away. All week she'd been practicing until she could no longer stand. This was a result of both her own perfectionist ways and the constant pushing of her choreographer. They were both working her up to this very moment. The first show of the week. Hadley was pretty sure that she'd worked all the kinks out of her performance, but her nerves always picked at her before the start of a show. She would play the choreography over in her head and remind herself of her flaws and how to correct them so that she wouldn't screw up on the stage in front of the hundreds of people who came to see her and the rest of the dancers. The blonde bit her lip and attempted to take a few steadying breaths as the lights started to dim and the room beyond the curtain started to quiet down. The show was about to being and her stomach was still doing back flips, but this was nothing new to her. Once the band struck up and the music began to play, her body would fall into its routine and produce a temporary work of art that each viewer would watch from start to finish. The way her body moved fluidly across the stage and maintained straight lines with soft edges seemed to captivate people, or so she was told from the majority of people. Then there were the few opinions that really stuck out in her mind. The negative ones. The ones where people would point out all her hiccups and tell her to do better next time. It was because of those people that she pushed herself to make each performance better than her last. To stay up all hours of the night, running off of a handful of hours of sleep and numerous cups of coffee to get her by. All of that had been leading up to this very moment and now it was showtime.
Light music filled the air and the spotlight appeared on the stage to illuminate the gracefully poised dancer. Her limbs stretched out before her and contorted into curves and angles that no normal person would ever hope to recreate with the same type of beauty and precision. Hadley could feel all eyes on her, even as the other dancers flooded the stage to take up their positions and fill the open spaces on the floor. Small gasps and sighs of longing could almost be heard over the gentle strings of the live orchestra, but the blonde paid them no mind as she fell into character and into step with the movements that her body had familiarized itself with during the weeks leading up to this very moment. If she made any mistakes at all during her show, no one in the crowd picked up on them because it seemed impossible that this one dancer could have any flaws at all. The way her head dipped back and her leg rose up above the rest of her body or how she threw herself high into the air. For a moment it seemed as if she were weightless and might be suspended into the air for an eternity. Gravity wouldn't allow that however, and she fell back to the earth, falling into the open arms of her male counterpart. His body was toned and beautifully sculpted, making them a glorious pair as they moved together and told the tale of a tragic love story that ended in the death of the fair maiden.
Eventually the show came to an end and the curtain fell over the stage again. An eruption of applause came from behind it and the dancers returned to the front to take a bow before retreating once again. Hadley took a moment to catch her breath before taking her leave to the dressing room where she downed two bottles of water and quickly stripped out of her costume. A shower followed shortly after and she quickly dried her hair, leaving it in light waves down her shoulder as she slipped on her after party dress. In all honesty, the blonde was in no mood to go out dancing and drinking with the rest of the crew, but her choreographer insisted that she tag along with him and there was no way she could deny him her company. Sighing to herself, Hadley left her dressing room and wandered through the halls, making her way out from behind the stage. This particular venue was still new to her, but she felt like she new the basic layout. All she needed to do was to make it to the lobby... but somewhere she must have taken a wrong turn or opened the wrong door because she spilled into a quite room that was occupied by only a few men who had their backs to her. "Oh... hello. My apologies. I didn't mean to intrude, but I think I might be a little lost..." A small smile painted itself onto her lips but there was an ominous mood hanging over this particular room that had the hairs on the back of her neck standing upright. |

[attr="class","ds1"] [attr="class","dsbg"] [attr="class","rightpanels"] wanna do bad things with you, I don't know what you've done to me But I know this much is true, I wanna do bad things with you, okay. When you came in the air went out, And all those shadows there filled up with doubt, I don't know who you think you are, But before the night is through, I wanna do bad things with you-------------------------------------------------------------------- he eyed the picture until the lights began to dim and then he was able to see the girl for real. his posture straightened as he peered more intensely over the railing in order to get a better view. her blonde hair was the first thing that got his attention. the way it crashed against her back with each spin and dip. her hips were the next thing that he noticed, the way that she could twist her body in different directions. her legs, that was the kicker for him. he could fill his mouth starting to water and he quickly swallowed down the excess amount of moisture that had accumulated. he felt strange, it was a tingle that he could not ignore and had to shift in his seat. the program that had been in his hand was now starting to crinkle in his grip. his eyes were dry from not blinking, not wanting to miss a second of this dazzling woman dancing on the stage. he had not been this hypnotized since – he could not even think her name. at the mere thought of the sensation that the brunette had once brought him, darius found himself staring at his phone instead of the stage. he was not about to go through that again. the screen illuminated his face but could not distract his mind and every few minutes, he would look up to watch the girl for a handful of moments. the curtain, now, could not come down sooner. he needed to get out of here but the elderly man beside him insisted that he stay and watch the show before striking a deal. darius was forced to bite his tongue due to the whole concept of respect that he rarely upheld, but in this case, it could cost him his life if he spoke back. the program was now on his lap, her face turned away so that he would not be tempted. he needed to get away from the vixen and worse part of it all was that she had no idea the effect that she was having over the dangerous male.
the lights slowly came on as not to hurt the eyes of the patrons. the dancers were gone and darius had managed to catch the last few moments of the dance where she fell to the ground in a quiet death. and then he was able to watch the curtain fall and he started to stand, only to be grabbed by the wrist by his elderly companion. he looked over as the male said, ”sit” and darius slowly did so with a narrowed eye. ”what did you think?’, and darius’ eyes went skyward as he shrugged, ”enthralling.”, his reply was met with a laugh. the curtain opened one more time where the dancers group by group. he felt his eyes narrowing as the blonde linked hands with her male counterpart, raising their linked hands to the sky. he could have reached for his gun as his blood began to run hot—and he didn’t even know this girl…yet. he had to know her name, hear her voice, see her freckles close up and trace them with his finger. but then the elderly man stood up and darius followed suite, turning his back to the stage. he looked over as a few more gentleman walked through the red curtain and entered the private balcony. his stomach started to twist into knots as his eyes began to flit between the men, judging their posture, taking in their chosen view—looking for anything that could be seen as hostile. so far, it was a passive meeting that was filled with filibuster kind of talk. they were beating around the bush, buying time and darius was positive that this was not going to end well for him. who had set up this deal? damien had been the chosen one for this job, but darius had opted to take it for his friend. just as darius felt that this meeting was about to end, he looked over to the blonde who had just entered a potentially dangerous situation. all the males were looking at her and darius felt the sting of jealousy coursing through him. ”you didn’t intrude.”, he spoke quickly, though she had. she had interrupted his possible assassination. things were uneasy, tense and darius felt that a bullet in one of their guns was meant for him. the deal had gone sour and darius was not sure how or when but this was a trap meant for his friend, not for him—that much was clear. he was caught in the crossroads, ”you appear to be. allow me to show you the way..”, he gave her a faux smile. his muscles were tense as he turned his back and quickly reached for the blonde’s arm. he did not know if she was in danger now but she was going to be his escape route, ”gentleman. we will be in touch very soon.”, his voice was stern as he glared daggers to the leader of the group. leading the girl out by the arm, he pulled her along the hallway, ”what did you hear?”, he hissed out into her ear, releasing her arm but keeping her close with a hand around her waist, ”don’t look back, just keep walking and act natural. got it.”, not asking but demanding that she follow his instructions as he pulled her down the long hallway and quickly down the steps to the main floor, already hearing the voices of the men following not too far behind. with every person comes a weakness,
Some try to never let it show, Others fall to defeat with Nothing but sad inside their souls. Now you've gotta stop running, You're only giving yourself hell So try to look for the good in something------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | Trouble wasn't something that Hadley ever really had a difficult time finding. Everywhere she looked there was always someone who wanted to use her or take advantage over her, but the funny thing about it was that she continued to be oblivious to each and every one of them. Until, of course, their cruel intentions became blatantly obvious. Her choreographer for example, or even her parents or sister. They were all people who openly took to abusing her and even showed their twisted enjoyment in it. Hadley remained sweet and pure however. If one were to look up the words sweet, pure, and innocent, there was a high chance that you would see her name or a picture of her underneath the definition. This blonde only ever saw the best in the people around her, even if they were quite literally the worst kind of person. Her mind was incapable of acknowledging the bad because if it did, everything around her would shatter into a million little pieces and she would no longer be able to cope with the world she lived in. The blonde needed to believe in the goodness in those around her and instead redirect their harmful words or painful punishments back onto herself. If someone hit her or said something rude, there had to be a reason for it. She must have done something to deserve it because surely they wouldn't do that to her without reason. That was her frame of thinking and, truthfully, that was the extent of the trouble she ever found herself in. Hadley was used to hurtful words and bruise marks tainting her skin... but there was something different about this room that she accidentally stumbled into. The tension in here was higher than she had felt before and there was a cold sort of electricity in the air that sent shivers down her spine. Her green eyes widened slightly, but she attempted to play it cool by politely apologizing for interrupting their meeting.
A large part of her hadn't expected a response from any of the men occupying the room, but the one with the alluring french accent and darkly hooded eyes spoke up and took her by surprise. There was something frightening about him... but beautiful at the same time. Hadley found herself falling into slight awe of him, but quickly reeled herself in and came back to reality when he smiled at her, even though it didn't quite reach his cool eyes. "Oh, if you'd like. I'm sure I could find my way." A polite smile crossed her own lips, though perhaps it shouldn't have. She had been mildly aware of the other gazes on her before the foreign stranger spoke up and captured all of her attention. Maybe she shouldn't be so starstruck in a tense, ominous situation like this, but a trail of goosebumps did appear on her arm once he took a hold of it. "It was a pleasure, sirs!" Her light, bubbly voice carried behind into the room as she was quickly pulled from it by the grip this new stranger had on her arm. Then it suddenly dropped, finding a more intimate home on the dip of her waist as they rushed through the halls. "Me? I didn't hear anything... I was just looking for the way to the lobby..." The tone his voice suddenly took sent shivers down her spine and made her feel mildly uncomfortable, as did the voices that sounded from behind them. Her heart started to beat a little quicker in her chest as the true nature of this dangerous situation finally revealed itself to her. "Okay... yes. Um, where are you taking me? What were you... What's going on?" Hadley glanced up at him, her green eyes wide with panic but her pace remained in step with his. |

[attr="class","ds1"] [attr="class","dsbg"] [attr="class","rightpanels"] wanna do bad things with you, I don't know what you've done to me But I know this much is true, I wanna do bad things with you, okay. When you came in the air went out, And all those shadows there filled up with doubt, I don't know who you think you are, But before the night is through, I wanna do bad things with you-------------------------------------------------------------------- how could someone who was so manipulative and so easily able to read people get distracted and tricked like this? the thought actually bugged darius as he was standing in the last possible spot, the place that they would find his body if he did not figure out a way to escape this. the elderly man, deceiving in a frail appearance, was just speaking to darius as though it was his last rites. he knew that he would be going straight down when his soul left. he had spilt too much blood to be saved but maybe a miracle could happen and he would be able to scuttle out of this situation, and then again, maybe not. as the moments passed, darius really only thought of one thing –or rather, one person. he hated that his mind immediately ran to the deep memories that he had pushed away time after time but in the dire situation such as this, he wanted to forgot all his sins and relish in his good guy moments. he thought of when he had planned that ridiculous engagement and how he had thought that even being engaged to her felt right and easy. it was too good to be true and darius had always been waiting for life to throw that curveball his way. and when it was tossed, darius was knocked off his feet and left with only one solution. he had to stay down, on his back and surrender to the crime world. he found it ironic that in this moment of his intimate death by one of the surrounding men, he was thinking about his fake death and the crushed expression that came over his dove’s face. it killed her. he could see every piece of hope that she had in the world just crumble away before his very eyes. she screamed at his interment, blaming everyone around his unfilled casket except herself. she was the cause of all of that, her safety had been jepordized and he had to kill himself to save her. now, he was going to die in order to save no one. maybe darien but his time would come after if this was a successful shot. but the curtain was a distraction and the blonde walking through it was the miracle that he had secretly prayed for. but now her face was seen, her name known because of the wrinkled program that was on the floor and she was in danger. he could care less actually but she was the ticket that he needed to escape. offering to show her to this after party was the key to getting out of this theater alive and he took that moment swiftly, ”really, i insist.”, grabbing her arm and leading her off the balcony.
but the danger in the air had yet to clear as he kept a hold of her arm until they turned a corner and he still did not let her go. his words were whispered in her ear, like a secret, and his arm came around her waist as they started to go down the steps from the top level of the theater. ”you better not be lying.”, he hissed as darius may have saved her from the danger but he could easily be the source of it too. he could turn from being her hero to her nightmare and he would do it without batting an eyelash. he gave her hip a squeeze, possibly putting small dots of black and blue along her porcelain skin which from this proximity to her, he could see was dotted with small freckles along her nose and onto her cheeks. he wondered where else she had those small freckles hidden away but that thought was cut short as he heard voices following them down the stairs. looking back, even though she was instructed not to, he spotted the shadows of the four or five men that were meant to put a bullet into his head and leave him for dead. they were following them which meant maybe, just maybe, this kill was not actually for damien but for himself. or, they were going after his forced company because she saw nothing and that was everything to them. giving a shake of his head, he directed his attention back to the stairs, grumbling about the large amount that they had to descend. ”well, you found more than the lobby..”, he commented with a heavy tone to his voice as they finally reached exactly the place that she was looking for. he had hoped for a larger crowd than what was in front of them. he wanted to blend away, hide from the men that were trying to end them but darius had apparently used up his allotted miracles for the night. he looked down at her at the same moment that she was glancing at him, ”if i told you, i would have to kill you..”, and his irises grew darker with the seriousness that his words held. he pulled her alongside of him, ignoring anyone that called out her name, ”don’t respond.”, his lips hovering over the shell of her ear. to others, it would appear they were having a semi-intimate moment, like he was whispering sweet nothings into the blonde’s ear and not actually whispering a threat. ”hate to be cliché but you’re coming with me.”, pulling his phone out from his pocket and giving a quick heads up to damien about what had happened. he did not need his best friend in a coffin, he had no time to plan a funeral for anyone. keeping her close to him, darius made their way through the lobby but he diverted and pushed through the emergency exit which sounded the alarm overhead and create just the amount of distraction that they would need. he took a deep breath of the fresh air, pulling her through the alley where his car was. the hold he had on her hip made for a good momentum to push her back into the car and to cage her in, ”what you saw, you will never repeat to another soul. get in.”, he growled out, hating that he had to take the witness with him. he waited for her to get into the passenger side, proceeded to child lock her door and window as soon as he jogged over to his side and backed out of the alley swiftly, making it onto the main road and away from the theater. with every person comes a weakness,
Some try to never let it show, Others fall to defeat with Nothing but sad inside their souls. Now you've gotta stop running, You're only giving yourself hell So try to look for the good in something------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | In that particular moment, Hadley wasn’t too sure how she was supposed to feel or react. All she wanted to do was to attend this after party because it was important to her choreographer. The only reason she was going was because he requested it of her and, had she refused, he would have threatened her until eventually her backbone gave out and she submitted to him. For a moment she thought of him and a small surge of panic pulsed through her. He would be looking for her now and surly his temper must be heating up because how late was she running now? What would he say when she eventually got there? If she even got there? The odds of that happening were steadily starting to decrease as the severity of her current circumstances continually increased. The man beside her was moving with such purpose and the expression etched into his face let her know that this was no laughing matter. Whoever was behind them had some serious business that they had yet to finish with him because she had so rudely interrupted. Hadley bit nervously at her lip, involuntarily keeping herself tucked close against his side has his grip on her waist remained firm and tight. When she first laid eyes on him, the blonde couldn’t help but to be taken aback by his dark beauty, but now she wasn’t so sure if she wanted to spend any more time in his company. Something about him frightened her and the last thing she wanted to do was to get tangled up in anything dangerous. Though… it would appear as if she’d already done just that. “I’m not… I swear to you that I didn’t hear anything.” Or at least she was pretty sure that she hadn’t. Maybe subconsciously she heard a few brief words exchanged between the men, but whatever they had been, her mind quickly forgot them in hope of survival.
“I didn’t mean to… honestly. It was an accident… Sir.” Seeing as he was still a nameless mystery man to her, Hadley figured sir would be a suitable enough prefix to address him as. Not that she really wanted to address him as anything. The second they made it to the lobby, Hadley had every intention of quietly slipping away from him so that she might go about enjoying the rest of her night. Or trying to forget the uncomfortable situation she was in now. However, once they did make it to the lobby, his grip never faltered. He continued to hold her close to his side, even pulling her a little closer. The impressions of his fingers would no doubt be left behind on her skin, but that wasn’t something that this particular blonde was unfamiliar with. In fact, she hardly noticed the hard pressure he was putting on her hip. “Um…” That probably wasn’t the most intelligent of responses she could have come up with, but he didn’t sound like he was joking when he said that he would need to kill her if he told her. Bile ran up the back of her throat and suddenly it felt like the room was spinning. Familiar voices surged up around her, some even calling for her. She could only imagine what this looked like to them and the press. Hadley Stark was hanging off some tall, dark, handsome man’s arm with a dazed expression on her delicate face. If there were cameras, this would be in the news. If her choreographer was here, her phone would be blowing up any second. “Okay…” The blonde bit her lip some more and gently reached her hand up to place it softly on his chest. This gesture increased the intimacy of the moment, making it seem more believable. If anything, she should probably be writhing away from him so that someone in the crowd would notice her discomfort and try to help… but he said he would kill her. There was a promise in that threat and Hadley didn’t want to risk trying his patience. So she played along. She was an actress after all. She could only hope that this would benefit her later. “Yes, of course. I’d love to go with you.” Hadley made sure to say this loud enough so that her friends would hear her. This way they wouldn’t have to worry when she didn’t turn up the next morning… or mornings. The blonde swallowed back her fear and followed timidly alongside him. The sudden blasting of the fire alarm made her jump, but she had no real time to react to it because he continued to push her along until they were outside and he was whirling her towards some unfamiliar car. Every inch of her screamed not to get inside the vehicle, but what choice did she have? He was a lot bigger, a lot stronger than she was. There was no hope for her escape. “I know! I promise I won’t say anything. I wouldn’t even know what to say, Sir. I told you that I didn’t hear anything.” Despite his harsh tone, her own remained polite and sweet, though definitely frightened. And as scared as she might be, Hadley climbed easily into the passenger’s side and closed it after her. There was not a rebellious bone in her body. She was a natural submissive. “Now where are we going… if I may ask?” Her eyelashes fluttered as she nervously looked over in his direction yet again.

[attr="class","ds1"] [attr="class","dsbg"] [attr="class","rightpanels"] wanna do bad things with you, I don't know what you've done to me But I know this much is true, I wanna do bad things with you, okay. When you came in the air went out, And all those shadows there filled up with doubt, I don't know who you think you are, But before the night is through, I wanna do bad things with you-------------------------------------------------------------------- his thoughts floating to the past in a moment of death was too cliché but as much as he tried to push forward to the present and focus on the guns that would soon be pointed at him, he could not serve off memory lane. the worst part of it was all the closed memories that he had not allowed himself to think of and they all pertained to that fucking brunette dove that had him around her every finger on her delicate little hand. he hated himself at this moment and with this heart breaking, gut wrenching thoughts that were coming to mind, death would be a nice option. it was the whole reason that he had to think of these moments in the past and not have a present life with gen, so why not let it be the cure to the madness? but he was out of luck…or in luck…depending on which way that he was looking which was currently at the blonde that had also been plaguing his mind but for other reasons. he could see why she was sitting on his thoughts in perverse ways as he witnessed her up close and personal but her timing was horrible, or again, maybe it was good. by insisting that he showed her to the after-party room that she was looking for, he allowed the blonde to be targeted but also saved. she was under his protection now, until he chose to push her out of the moving car on the way to his next destination, but he had to make it there without any bullet holes in him first. grabbing onto her arm, he gave her body a jerk as she had the polite stupidity to actually one, acknowledge their existence and two, waste time in giving goodbyes to them. he should have slapped her upside the head for making him waste a whole two seconds in his getaway attempt but that would be wasting more time and darius and her were running low on time. he was forcing her to move fast on heels and all that darius hoped was that she did not break an ankle until they got to the car. ”that means nothing to me.”, speaking about her word, her promise that she had heard nothing between the men. he needed more than just a guarantee that she had heard nothing. he would have to do something about it but for now, his mind was on the flight instinct as they made their way into the lobby but darius looked back to see that they had still not lost their shadows quite yet.
”don’t apologize. incompetence seems to just be your thing.”, he curtly answered her while giving a look around the lobby as he kept walking, pulling her along but with a more intimate appearance behind his hold. his hand fell onto the curve of her hip, occasionally squeezing it to give people passing a small hint not to really question the couple. his eyes gave a skyward glance to her response to his threat which was partly a joke and clichéd but it was also holding some truth to it. he could never reveal to her why she was in this situation and she kind of just had to accept it and go with it at the moment. he would let her go but it would not be until later in the night and until he knew that the target mark on his back had at least shrunk a little in size. giving a look over to her as she put her hand to his chest, his brows briefly furrowed. he was unfamiliar with this intimacy level. usually, he was the one in control, guiding hands to his body parts that needed attention and he had not been seen out with a woman since gen. it was always in a bar and then behind closed doors where whispers of his promiscuity were talked about but names were never given out and faces were never seen. this was a whole different story and darius was wary about it. ”you’re overselling it..”, he whispered in her ear, his lips grazing her earlobe as he pulled back and led her out the emergency exit and then scurried them to the backalley where his car was idly waiting for his return. he could hear the frenzy happening behind in the background and a smirk started to form. they had done it. he pushed her into the car door, making sure she knew that he was in control of her life and the situation now. she did not need to build upon the actions that he pushed out for the sole reason of escaping alive. ”don’t grovel, it’s pathetic. just say “okay sir.”, though he didn’t appreciate the ‘sir’ part. it was never really his cup of tea when it came to being addressed unknowingly. he grabbed her arm before she got in, spinning her around to face him, ”say it.”, as he was not entirely sure if he had heard his own words come from her lips. but once he did, he released her from the bruising grip and walked over to his side of the car after shutting her door behind her. darius turned the car on and was instantly hit with cool air and some loud music, reaching quickly to turn the volume down, he looked over to her and growled, ”don’t ask that again. i just saved your life blondie, don’t question it.”, the car accelerated backwards and then quickly slipped onto the road, mixing into the los angeles traffic with ease. still tense and a little paranoid, darius continued to glance at the dash mirror, checking for advancing speeding cars but found that they were not being followed yet. he had to pick a place to go though, his house was not an option, but the club…that might be okay. changing direction, darius took no real thought into his sudden turns into the club district area. with the windows still tinted and the car stalled in his parking spot, he grabbed the girl’s chin and turned her face dangerously close to his. he could probably play connect the dot with her visible freckles with how close she was to his eye level, ”listen here. you are going to walk into this place with me, you are going to get a drink with me. from there, you and I are going to go up the stairs to the VIP lounge and you’re not going to fucking say a word to anyone. i own this place, no one will blink an eye if you don’t come out of that VIP area again. got it?”, hardening his grip for emphasis on how true his words were. with every person comes a weakness,
Some try to never let it show, Others fall to defeat with Nothing but sad inside their souls. Now you've gotta stop running, You're only giving yourself hell So try to look for the good in something-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | The blonde began to idly wonder whether or not she should be fearing for her life right now. It seemed like that should be the case, given the details that she was only just now piecing together in her head. Hadley was a smart girl. Truly she was... but only academically. When it came to people, she was a little socially insensitive. She couldn't pick up on the signs of danger or whenever someone might be giving hints that they were interested in her. In that way, she was a bit of an airhead and so depended on her closer friends to give her little nudges and whisper in her ear when something wasn't right or she wasn't acting appropriately in any given situation. Right now she didn't have anyone to tell her to get the fuck away from this man and the group of sinister men following behind them. There was no one standing around to tell her that she was caught up in some deep shit now, and that it might be best if she grabbed one of the guests at the after party and hope that they might help her escape. Hadley never allowed that thought to cross her mind because that would mean acting out, and what if this stranger who had such a possessive grip on her waist was upset by her rebelling against him? What if he lashed out and did something bad to her? Or what if something bad happened to him because of the other men who appeared to be chasing after him? She thought of all these things with sort of a dull fascination, just using the thoughts to help her pass the time as she was pulled this way and that by the stranger. Her best defense in any situation was to just lay on her back and do whatever she was told. It helped her every other time she was in trouble. All she had to do was sit and wait it out. The storm had to pass eventually. He had to let her go at some point, didn't he?
"Okay." Incompetent. She'd heard that word before. Her parents used it to describe her quite often actually. In their eyes she was useless. Nothing particularly special about her because she couldn't do anything right no matter how hard she tried. Hell, couldn't even be a good scapegoat. What was even wrong with her? Hadley decided briefly in her head that her parents would like this mysterious stranger. He was cold and calculated. Definitely wealthy because of the way he dressed. Probably some kind of businessman or whatever. Her father would have adored him and admired his ability to take charge and dominate. Her mother would tell her to not to anything to screw this up. But this wasn't anything. This was all just a show she was putting on because apparently that was what he needed and the only way he would get her out of here without people becoming suspicious. So she touched him as he touched her, even though he had been manhandling her earlier. Surely there would be traces of his hands marked all over her waist, but she could easily cover that up. A gentle smile drifted onto her lips after he commented. Maybe she was overselling, but theatrics were her specialty. The brief faux moment of intimacy ended and suddenly she was moving outside, headed towards his car. Alarm bells went off in her head telling her that she probably shouldn't get inside of it, but there was no point in trying to resist now. He had her alone and there was no one left out here to help her. All she could do was agree to everything he said. And maybe it would be best if she didn't say anything at all, because apparently it was all wrong anyway. So she nodded and turned to enter the car. Before she could, however, he spun her around and demanded that she say what he asked. "Okay, Sir." There was no hesitation on her lips, and only a slight amount of fear in her eyes before she got in her seat once he let her go. Then they were speeding down unfamiliar streets and she was quickly scolded after asking where he was taking her. It seemed like a fair enough question, but apparently it was none of her business. So she nodded and kept quiet. Instead she focused on settling her restless hands in her lap, but her fingers couldn't stop playing with the hem of her dress as they drove on through the night. For a while she lost herself in the twitching of her hands, only focusing on that until suddenly they stopped and her face was tightly pinned between his strong hand. Her green eyes had nowhere to look except his, and all she could see was a fierce coldness within him. This chilled her to her core. "Yes, okay sir. I can do that." Hadley attempted to nod, but her head wasn't all that mobile considering her chin was resting in the palm of his hand.
